You will be responsible for developing sales opportunities, engineering, selling (closing the sale) and managing the delivery of lighting, audio, video & rigging systems to clients that fit within our lower value and/or “direct to end client” systems sector. The role will require you to cover a large section of the UK market and as such you will be expected to plan your work load in order to maximise profits and manage workflow whilst balancing client expectations.

This role requires a person with meticulous attention to detail, exceptional organisational skills, good communication skills and the ability to prioritise work load effectively. Some contact will be required with major accounts dealing with people up to director level, therefore an articulate, pro-active and positive approach is required. This role will require travel, the candidate must be prepared to travel and stay away from home if needed.

Main Tasks:
 Respond to all assigned enquiries in a timely and effective manner and in accordance with our SLA
 If required visit clients to assess their technical and commercial needs
 Identify client requirements and engineer practical solutions
 Design suitable technical solutions, in accordance with company standards, that meet client budget and expectations
 Ensure that technical solutions are fit for purpose, meet cost plans and can be delivered on schedule
 Create compelling and robust project quotations in accordance with company standards
 Plan the project delivery phase ensuring that staff and equipment is requested in a timely manner
 Manage the project delivery phase ensuring that any unexpected problems are dealt with in a timely and effective manner
 Be responsible for the health and safety of our site staff
 Secure profitable repeat business with trading partners through excellent project design and delivery
 Meet all agreed sales monetary volume and gross profit targets
 Meet all agreed project delivery targets (KPIs)
 Manage a customer portfolio
 Plan, create and deliver presentations on the benefits of your project proposal to prospective clients
 Manage the required materials and site resources
 Create site information packs for our installation teams
 Plan training sessions and create Operations & Maintenance Manuals
 Liaise with internal departments, including Operations, Sales Accounts.
 Any other reasonable duties as instructed by your manager

Skills and Qualifications required

Skills, Knowledge & Experience:
 A proven track record in systems integration design of lighting and/or video and/or audio systems
 A real desire to succeed in the competitive bid/quotation process
 A detailed understanding of performance lighting and/or video and/or audio product
 A strong commercial instinct
 A high level of self-motivation
 The ability to be able to work as part of a team or individually
 A strong negotiator with the ability to persuade
 Confident in presenting in front of large groups of people
 To be enterprising and use initiative
 To be smart in appearance and have a professional manner
 To be an effective project planner
 The ability to plan and implement projects on time and to budget
 To have strong working knowledge of Microsoft programs, especially Excel, and Word
 Strong communication skills in all forms
 Possession of a clean driving licence and a willingness to travel
 The ability to Project Manage a number of confirmed orders, at the same time.
