Description:

In this role you will report directly to the Automation and Electronics Manager. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic Engineer who wishes to progress within a dynamic and rapidly expanding manufacturing business based in South Kirkby, Wakefield.

Key responsibilities will be as follows:
- To become proficient in the application and use of a wide range of electrical and electronic disciplines including, but not restricted to, Printed Circuit Board (PCB) design and manufacture, analogue and digital circuit design, panel wiring, software development and the use of electronic instrumentation, sensors and transducers.
- Testing and fault-finding techniques using a variety of electronic test equipment.
- Fitting and assembly skills including the use of hand tools and marking out.
- Electrical and analogue and digital electronic circuit build, including power supplies, amplifiers, signal conditioning, motor control, optical devices, logic and microprocessor based systems.
- Calibration and measurement techniques using oscilloscopes and other instrumentation.
- Crimping, brazing, soldering and other jointing processes.
- Basic milling and sheet metalwork techniques including shearing, folding etc. used in the manufacture of simple enclosures.

Skills and Qualifications required

Suitable candidates for this role will come with the requisite qualifications and experience.

Position – Full-time
Salary – Dependent on experience.
Location – South Kirkby, Wakefield
Hours – 40-hour week 08:30 to 17:30
