Description:

The purpose of this role is to oversee the efficient and safe running of the company’s workshop. You will be responsible for equipment maintenance and testing of in house equipment as well as customer equipment. You will also be responsible for all moving light maintenance and prep. A sound level of electrical & electronic knowledge is required along with mechanical and practical ability. As this is quite a wide ranging role training will be given as required. Whilst this role is largely based at our head office and during normal work hours you will be required on occasion to work out on site and outside of normal working hours.

Key responsibilities:
• Supervision of workshop operations including some supervision of staff.
• Control of spares stock levels and ordering from suppliers.
• Ensure the workshop is run in accordance with company Health & Safety documentation.
• Maintenance & preparation of companies moving light stock.
• Management of customer’s equipment requiring repair including the managing of out sourcing where required.
• Maintenance & repair of equipment to include Audio, Lighting, Power and Rigging
• Overall responsibility for all electrical and PAT testing across all departments.

Skills and Qualifications required

• Experience of a busy hire/production environment with critical deadlines
• Experience of supervising a team of people
• Excellent organization skills
• Excellent inter-personal skills
• Self motivated
• Computer literate including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Prior experience of Hiretrack Eclipse rental management software an advantage though not essential
