Description:
The main responsibilities of this role will be to bring experience, contacts and knowledge in a senior technical sales capacity, and to head up a small team of sales engineers, with the aim of increasing sales turnover and identifying new markets.
Reporting to the General Manager, the role has a focus on increasing sales revenue, contributing to technical product knowledge, motivating current sales force and primarily identifying and bringing in new business.
Key responsibilities include:
· Liaise with the General Manager to manage, motivate and lead the current sales team
· Achieve and be accountable for quarterly sales targets as set by management team
· Identify new business possibilities within all potential markets
· Actively seek new projects for package installations
· Make site visits to meet clients, specify and quote equipment for projects
· Receive, return and chase sales enquiry calls
· Identify and implement specific equipment demonstrations for potential customers
· Systematically forecast & review sales targets, product by product and identify ways to increase turnover
· With the company directors set and monitor all product pricing, increasing/decreasing them on an annual or biannual basis
· Attend regular internal sales meetings, create personal reports for use in meetings and provide documentation at month end on sales turnover and profitability
· In conjunction with General Manager, regularly liaise with suppliers to ensure best purchase prices are obtained
· Look at ways to strengthen the product range, identifying additional complementary product lines
· Consider if existing dealerships & distributorships meet business objectives
· Identify and attend appropriate networking/promotional opportunities, i.e. trade shows, seminars and events
· With the General Manager help identify and recruit replacement/additional skilled sales people and train them, as and when necessary
· Manage loan stock budget and requirements. Ensure company has accountability for all sales and loan stock, at all times.
· Identify competitors, be familiar with how they are performing, assess why Autograph may be losing sales, assess how to win competitor business
Skills and Qualifications required
The ideal candidates will come with excellent technical knowledge of pro-audio products, and an outstanding track record in sales in this area. They will have excellent contacts in the industry, and be able to generate sales in existing and new areas of business. Good time management, people management and communication skills are a must, as are proficient computer skills.
