The main duties and responsibilities of the Sales and Marketing Assistant UK can be divided into two segments. As Sales Assistant, you will support the Sales Manager in managing existing customer relationships, as well as constantly developing new clients and contracts. The Sales Assistant will assist in coordinating customer dates and training and will provide customer support in regards to commercial, organisational and logistical aspects.
As Marketing Assistant, you will assist the Sales Manager in carrying out the marketing strategy, and apply it to local needs. The Sales and Marketing Assistant will be responsible for market research in different markets.

Key responsibilities include:

· Processing of quotations and orders as well as reporting
· Assisting at onsite appointments with customers as well as their follow-up
· Customer communication and coordination of presales, sales and after sales support
· Assisting in planning and running exhibitions and customer events in the UK and Asian region
· Market research of the UK and Chinese market, especially in regards to the Olympic Games in Beijing 2008 and the approaching Olympic Games in London 2012
· Assisting the PR department, especially with translating English media into Chinese language
· Assisting in general administration

Skills and Qualifications required

In order to perform as Sales and Marketing Assistant, the ideal candidate will hold a Master’s degree in International Business Management or Marketing. You will speak English and Chinese fluently in order to support the Sales Manager to approach the project “Olympic Games in London 2012”.

An understanding of the lighting industry, especially in the Asian region is essential, and you will be highly motivated with excellent communication and organisation skills, and the ability to work independently.
